Online voting begins January 16 – January 22 for the first annual Interstate Music Awards competition. The winners will be announced on January 25, 2021.

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN – (January 13, 2020) – With goals to seek out and support artists looking to bring people together through their music, Interstate Music launched the first-ever Interstate Music Award competition in November 2020. Musicians from all across the nation submitted set videos to be considered for an award, and fans are now being asked to vote for their favorite band or artist. Voting will begin online on Saturday, January 16, thru Friday, January 22, 2021. One grand prize winner, one second prize winner, and one third prize winner will be announced on January 25, 2021.

“This contest has been such an awesome opportunity for us to help artists during a time when their audiences just can’t explore new or live music the way they would like to due to the pandemic,” said Jeff Peterson, CEO at Interstate Music. “But over the last few months, these insanely talented musicians made it possible to create an online community with a positive vibe for all to enjoy and discover through their music. A special thanks to everyone who participated and congratulations to the finalists.”

Beginning at 5 PM CST on January 16, online voting will open and allow fans and the music community to decide who is worthy of an award. Finalists include bands and solo artists of all genres from across the country, including:

  1. Alley Eyes (Milwaukee, Wisconsin)
  2. Billie Jo (Grand Saline, Texas)
  3. Card Reader (Long Island, New York)
  4. Ethon Dorrity (Ogden, Utah)
