The Queen of Country to Slim Shady: Rock and Roll H.O.F. Class of ‘22

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The nominations for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 2022 induction class has been released, and it’s safe to say that this year’s voters will be facing some tough decisions.

It’s not just the wide range of music legends up for induction that’s making this year particularly difficult, however. Instead of the traditional 15 nominees, there are 17 nominees on this year’s ballot due to a tie during the nomination process.

Having to say no to two extra music legends is bad enough, but this year’s ballot is absolutely star-studded with some all-time greats. Among the list are Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Beck, A Tribe Called Quest, and even the Slim Shady himself, Eminem.

The greatness of this year’s ballot does not stop there, though. Also up for induction are some bands of the ages, such as the political-punk-powerhouse, Rage Against the Machine, Judas Priest, MC5, and Duran Duran.

It seems like every year at least a few legends get barred from entry into the Hall, but with only five to seven spots for 17 fabled artists, this year is looking like snub-city.
